How Bad Is A 3+ Inch Torsion Bar Lift For The Truck?

So, how bad is a 3+ inch torsion bar lift on a truck? It is a 1995 silverado 4x4.

i have a 96 4x4 and looked into the same thing from what im told you cant go over 3 inches and raising them will roughen the ride and cause faster wear on some parts

I mainly wanted to know how bad it was for stuff like the CV shafts and ball joints and crap. just being at that akward angle.

you answered your own question to a degree. Any load bearing mechanism that transmits torque and energy out of it's design limits is not going to do that for any length of time without incurring failure of some type.

the wear is why im not using the torsion bars to lift my truck im just going to install something like a rough country 6 in if its a decent product to save the parts from wearing and it doesnt cost that much more
