Fog Lights

My 99 Silverado did not come with fog lights, so last year I bought some $25 aftermarket lights at miejer.  They look just like the factory ones, but now one is dim and they keep moving on me.  I know the OEM suck.  But where could I get the kit and how much for it?  Would the switch I have for my aftermarket lights work or would I have to buy the OEM?

Check to see how much a fog light kit, which includes all of the wiring, would cost from a Chevrolet dealer.

I found a complete fog light lit on EBAY about 2 months ago and the bid was around $100 plus shipping.

At the dealer the cost I think was $99.00 plus tax.

If you put in OEM foglights, you will have to have the BCM "flashed" at the dealer in order for the factory switch to work.

How much would it cost to just buy the whole kit from the factory?

the fog light kit installed from the factory is a $140 msrp option

 

Like shaners said if you buy the ebay ones or from a dealer you will have to have a program put into your truck so they work

I just saw a front bumper with lower valance and fog lights in my local paper for $150.00
