Factory shop manual cannot be compared to a Hayes manual. If you are going to be seriously working on your truck, then you should get the factory shop manual. If you just want to know where something is, Hayes will do fine.

have you ever tried to use a hayes? Half the the jobs you will tell you to use the "recomended torque". thats usefull. FSM is the way too go. esp if you ever have an electrical problem
