2011 Silverado 1500 Retro-fit Factory Bluetooth?

Hi. I'm wondering if it's possible to retrofit the OEM factory bluetooth module for the 2011 Silverado 1500 LS? I noticed that bluetooth is an option and it's like $290. I realize the cost is usually less when building the vehicle, however on my old BMW X3 installing bluetooth / iPod modules were as simple as just buying them and taking them to the dealer (or having the dealer order them).

When I bought my truck, the sales guy seemed to be convinced I would have to buy an aftermarket bluetooth solution. I read about the OEM system and I'd like to have that one installed because it seems the most seamless. I'd prefer not to have any unnecessary visible things sticking out.

Also, I noticed a hole on the steering wheel where the audio steering wheel controls are on models that have them. I am wondering can I just buy this and have it installed to have the stereo be controllable from the steering wheel?

thanks!

If you have OnStar you can add the bluetooth VCIM. You cannot get one from the dealer, they can't sell them, but you can get one off of ebay for about $200. Do a search for bluetooth here and you will find lots of info.
