I've got the 5" Oval steps from Raptor and they are nice. They are all SS and the end caps are welded on, instead of being the black plastic caps that are pressed in, and always seem to come out. They were simple to install, once I found out where the center brace attached to the underside of the truck. Customer service is also top notch...not too long after I installed mine, I noticed that one of the step pads was coming off. I emailed Raptor and explained what was wrong and they sent me a whole new step pad and the "clips" that go under the pad. I liked the OEM steps that were on the truck, but didn't like the ~$700 price tag, so I had the dealer take them off and then found the Raptor steps for about half the price of the factory steps.

I have a set of the 4" SS ovals on my truck. Like hammerhead said, once you figure out where the center brace goes, install is a breeze. I've had them on since this summer and so far they look brand new when clean...no chips or rust spots.

I got them but one of them had a dented end cap not I have to wait all over again and they have to send a shipper to pick these up since the box is like 118inches long and about 65lbs

I found a set of the steps on Ebay a little cheaper than other places I looked. I bought them using the Buy It Now feature and submitted payment via PayPal. A few hours later, I get a phone call from the seller saying that the steps were out of stock and they gave me the option of waiting on the steps to come in or I could cancel the order. I canceled the order and found the same steps somewhere else. The money that I had paid via PayPal was refunded to my PayPal account and I transferred it back to my bank account. I ordered the steps from the 2nd vendor and got email confirmation that they had shipped. So the wait began...I got home from work one evening and there were 2 boxes sitting on my deck. I thought that, maybe, there was one step in each box. Opened the 1st box and it was a complete set (2 steps and mounting hardware). Opened the 2nd box and it too was a complete set. Find the packing list for both boxes and one set was from the 2nd vendor. The other set was from the Ebay seller. The steps were shipped directly from Raptor, so I had my $$$ refunded for the 1st set, but they didn't cancel the order.

I emailed the 1st seller and explained to them in detail the circumstances and offered to ship the steps back to them (on their dime of course). I also asked that they contact me by phone 1st thing the following to clear this up by speaking to someone instead of just through email. I could have easily said "Forget it, they made a mistake and shipped them to me after they refunded my money", but I'd hate to think that someone could possibly lose their job over a mistake like this. Plus, I know that if I would not have tried to do the right thing, karma would have come back and bit me on the butt!!!!

They sent me a pre-paid shipping label and I shipped them back using a local FedEx-Kinkos place. A week or so later, I got a thank you letter from the place I originally ordered from along with a$100 gift card as a thank you for sending them back.

That sucks. Where did you purchase them? I'm thinking of getting these for my truck too.

Well I wont buy anything from them again, I been waiting all day for info on the pickup and delivery of the new ones they keep stalling.

I filed the damage report on Saturday and got a claim number back. Today they just say they are working on it.

I told them my wife can't get in the truck and I have will order them from someone else.

They can take these back and deal with my CC company if I don't hear back in a day or so.

Did you go with Black or Chrome?

I still want a black set but with the salt around here I just cant seem to pull the trigger. But for $200 and if they last 5 years I may just go for it.

We bought the PowerStep advertised on this site. My wife could not get into truck (when we were looking, our truck has not come in yet) and these were the only ones we found that came down far enough. We are excited to get the truck and install the power steps. They tuck up out of the way nice and keep the clean look.

Auto Ad Onz has to contact Raptor I sent the pictures and I'm waiting tick tick tick , both boards have dented end caps, they asked me to take photos so I unwrapped them and found that both of them on one end were dented. All they have to do to prevent this in the future is to glue the foam at the end of the boxes. At this point I will have to throw a milk crate in the bed of the truck so my wife can get in.

Raptor contacted me and is sending a brand new set :) they seemed more concerned then mechanics-warehouse.com or Auto Ad Onz. I actually sent a email/photo and my invoice copy to Raptor they seem to really care Vs the vendor.
