yea the chrome strip is starting to grow on me. i dont think im going to replace the rims, and the chrome strip does look good with the chrome rims, so i guess thats the end of that chapter!

Your truck is looking great. When is the body lift going on?

My truck has the RC 2'' up front and I just got my 3'' blocks delivered today. I'm going down a similar road as you. I'm interested to see how the body lift is going to look, I may do that as well. Only thing I hate is shelling out the big dollars for tires.

i am still pondering the body lift. i was speaking with the guy from zone as well as readylift and they said i may need new shocks in the rear as the body lift and rear blocks is going to stretch them out, and there may be an issue.

i am in no rush, next purchase is some new tires

Body lift will stretch out the shocks??? I wouldn't buy a single thing that guy was selling...

3" blocks do stretch them out a bit, but as long as you are not airborne or hitting speed bumps at 50, they will last...and when it comes time to replace, get longer ones with the lifetime warranty and switch them out every few years...they take 10 minutes to change.

yeah it doesnt make sence as the frame is staying in the same location, just the body is lifted. i think i will go with the zone 3" BL and readylift shock extenders for now, and when the time comes to replace the shocks i will go with some bilsteins.

67-3809 were not around last summer when i did mine...don't off-road much with mine, only time I have felt the rear shocks top out was hitting a dip on the road when I wasn't expecting it, and had an empty truck with under a 1/4 tank of gas...so non-issue as far as I'm concerned, save the $60 to put towards new shocks...

And if you are not putting the blocks anyway, just the BL, why are you putting shock extenders, you DO NOT need them for a body lift

I'm putting the shock extenders on mine, I expect them here any day now. I do alot of off-roading and I want to make sure that I don't have any issues.

i do have the rear blocks, and will put on the 1.5" or 3" BL, so i dont think it will hurt to put on the shock extenders, as i dont think i will have to replace the shocks for a while (only $60).

what shocks would you reccommend to replace the stock ranchos?

just from cruising around the site a lot of people seem to be recommending bilstein, you may want to check them out for your next set of shocks. I just put a 2" level kit in mine yesterday and the 3" body was delivered today, have to think about getting that on sometime soon, although i only have stock 17's to put tires on

Rancho puts out a good product, but some people down it becasue it is sold at every part store. Rancho is made by Monroe and usually carries a lifetime replacement on the shocks. It may not be the current hot trend, but it is a great shock and a good company. Rough Country is another kit that I have sold in the past and had good success with, but there are many others. Very nice truck btw!
