Flickering Hid's

as title states, this morning on my way to work my HID's were flickering. their in my fogs, it wasnt from hitting bumps or anything, it would do it when i wasnt moving also. on my way home it did it a few times but then didnt have a problem with the last 30min of my drive. any ideas?

I would check my connections first and for most. Than if all good, I'd bet the ballast's are going bad, probably have to replace them.... :)

i didnt get cheap ones. they are off ebay from seller Legal lights. they have a lifetime warranty. i sent them an email asking how their warranty worked. i never filled out any paperwork after i got the lights so who knows. if they dont warranty them ill get a new kit from....... i forgot the guys name. if i remember correctly hes from alaska

I'd get them from www.ddmtuning.com, I love mine, never had a probably with mine yet, they also have a lifetime warranty and fairly cheap. :)

yea back when i got my lights i originally ordered from ddm but i started hearing bad things about them as far as support and shipping goes. they went on backorder and they were not able to give me a date so i canceled. does anyone know of the company im talking about? im pretty sure its in alaska

some cheap brands do that or if you have high watt ones you may need to check your power wires and/or upgrade to a relay kit.

 

 

I had to get the relay kit for my headlights because they were flickering. Problem solved. Then I noticed one of my fogs were out. I pulled over and felt under there to see if it was loose. Turns out someone jacked the bulb. So I ordered a new bulb. :) Then installed it and realized they also ripped the box out as well. :) Then I ordered a new box and placed it way up in my engine compartment. :)

Mine did that . . . Changed the ballast work fine Bought from anrmotorsport.com Came with a custom relay harness to protect the wiring for no charge.

This always amazes when I hear something like this...The world is filled with so many douchebags.

so i actually looked at it tonight. just one of the leads from the ballast to factory wiring was broke. called the seller of the lights Legal Lights and the guy was extremely rude so im just going to cut the wires and wire it direct instead of threw the factory plug.
