Does anyone have a list of batteries that will fit this truck?

 

Im had someone tell me the only battery he coould find for this truck was at AutoZone and it was $165.

Easy to look stuff up all the major parts outlets websites nowadays. Unfortunately battery prices have increased over the last few years.

Idiots at (2) different Autozones told me the same thing. $160 for a battery is insane. Guy(s) told me that that was the only one that would fit in my '08. I told them that that was insane and I would keep looking. I went with a Bosch (sorry, don't remember the number) from Pep Boys, for around $90. Problem fixed.

The Super Start was $95 and will be the one I put in the '07 Tahoe. When the hood's closed nobody knows how much you spent.

I used a Duralast gold 34-DLG 800CCA. 88.99 3 year free replacement and prorated after.

I forgot about the Optima 34R. That'll fit good with the Pos (+) post on the left.

I will be replacing mine with a 1000CA/900CCA battery just like I had in my '85. I bought it at rural king, and paid a little over $70. $165 for a battery!? I could prolly set you up with one from the CAT dealership for that much, that would fit and be around the same CCA's that is in your truck now. Would anyone like part numbers for CAT batteries?

Well, I lied. I just today replaced the battery in the Tahoe with an AutoZone 34DT-DLG. 800 CCA.

$106 + tax.
