Temperature Dic And Mirror

Here is the deal I have a 2010 Silverado with the OnStar Mirror, but no auto dim rear view mirror. I would like to add a mirror, no problem as they are all over ebay. I have added the Temp / Compass to three other vehicles. But I want to make sure that my DIC temperature reading is the same as the added mirror temperature reading. Does anyone know if you can splice the ambient air temperature sensor into two devices (DIC and Mirror?)

I know that I can wire the mirror and simply add an additional sensor, I am prepared to do this, but would like it if the DIC and Mirror said exactly the same thing. I know this is being picky and all this is for the autodim feature, but I have found I don't like the temp and compass in the DIC, I would prefer in the mirror.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi, did you ever try this or get your answer? My thoughts are your would be tying the ISRVM temp monitor circuit to the temp monitor circuit used by the automatic HVAC. Considering the 2008's had two sensors, I think that its safer to have two in 2009's or newer as well and keep things separate. Just my 2 cents...
