I have the nbs 2010 Silverado,I have read on this forum that you need 17" wheels or bigger for those trucks,I have a set of 17" Helo Maxx 6 and they will not fit the front because of clearance issues with the brake calipers, they go on no problem but when you tighten the lugs the wheel is bar tight and will not spin, just want to put it out there that not all 17" aftermarket wheels will fit.

sounds like the back spacing isn't correct.

you are correct, not all 17's will fit, you need to have the correct offset.. I believe a minimum of 5.5" is required, but not 100% on that, hopefully someone in the know will chime in.

I have the same rim on my truck and they work fine.

Whats your back spacing ?

shoulda went bigger!!

You can buy wheel adapters to give yourself the clearance you need

The wheels I have are a 17 x 9 with a +18 offset and a 5.71 backspace,they also come in a -12 offset.

07BluSierra have your wheels got the -12 offset, since you are running the same wheels and they fit,I can not see the same wheel fitting other trucks of the same style, mine are bringing up on the calipers, anyone ever grind down caliper to make a wheel fit?

I just wanted a better style of rim and a little style to it with out breaking bank. Really didn't want to buy new tires. I'll look on the box to see if they are the same

makes sense..

Mitchell: if you are stuck with those wheels and want to run them you will need to buy a set of wheel adapters to make them work.

1.5" will do, but will requre you to trim off he nipples of the lugs (the smaller tip where the OEM hup cab bolts screw to.) the 2" should let you keep you from cutting anything.

Thanks for the suggestion of wheel spacers but I think I will just go with a set 0f 18" rims which should give me the clearance to prevent the calipers from rubbing.
