New Medium Duty?

Is the rumored new medium part of k2xx? The story is that it is not going to be a 4500 version of the Silverado/Sierra.

Not sure I heard there were rummors that GM was going to building new c4500-c8500 trucks soon ,hopfully sooner then later! I know a lot of guys that dearly miss those trucks !

Last rumor that I heard is the 4500 and 5500 will be back soon, but this time they will use the Silverado/Sierra cab. My guess is part of the K2XX series. As for the larger mediums, maybe later, possibly as a joint venture with a heavy truck builder.

One thing I would like to see is the cab chassis model to receive the x long chassis to mount a 12'+ flatbed. 8 foot doesn't cut it. That's one thing that gives Ford and Dodge an edge.
