1996 Gmc Seria- 4x4, Heat, Prnd Light, And Break Lights Go Out.... Ple

When the truck has run for about 10-20min, i eathor try and engage the 4x4 or the heat and all will turn off, what all turns off is the 4x4, PRND123 Light shuts off, and the break lights wont work.

 

when i try and pull the 4wheel drive lever down i see the PRND light turn off so ill pull it back up and the light turns back on, and this also happens with the low, medium, and high settings on the heat.

 

 

 

If you may have any ideas on this PLEASE help me.

Sounds like you have a short in the courtesy light going to the transfer case shifter, that comes on when the transfer case is put into 4WD.

Sounds like you have a short in the courtesy light going to the transfer case shifter, that comes on when the transfer case is put into 4WD.

 

 

SO that all would happen because of the short? even sometimes when i just turn the heat on it will also make all of that turn off.
