Bad Night With My 2011 Hd

I went and plowed a driveway while doing so I got a little stuck and ended up with every check engine light I can think of.

The truck seemed possessed lights going on off the radio heater and what not just going crazy.

I turn the truck off and the dash stayed lit the truck would not restart just a dash light show.

I though for a minute what to do since I'm kinda stranded  so I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes reconnected and it started but the light show continues. :)

I Will be off to the dealers in the AM if it starts I unhooked the battery for tonight just in case.

hmmm interesting. What were you doing in the truck when it got stuck? A lot of forward/reverse shifting, 4wheel shifting, etc?

Posted

it was in 4 wheel with the traction control off I was backing up and going forward, I came to a complete stop before shifting from F to R

I didn't need to rock it. the only difference in this truck is I didn't install the second battery, I wonder if the surge from the plow running on the same one is an issue. It worked fine the last 2 days until I got just a little too stuck and spun the tires tonight.

went out this morning and hooked the battery up, it started and I had a airbag light for a few minutes I shut it off after it warmed up then restarted now its like nothing ever happened? I called the dealer they said to bring it in on Wed.

I have this funny feeling they will say we found nothing? All I can say guys is carry a wrench to disconnect the battery in case you get stranded like I did :)

:) Sorry to say but I hope they do find something. I'm betting some sort of stupid sensor.

well my code reader does not see anything but its just a scangauge its no tech 2 :)

Im thinking the BCM or something like that because I had no door locks, no windows, no gauges, radio went on and off

service 4 x 4 , service ABS, Service airbag, service traction control, it was a light show no joke.

I guess I will go get in some deep snow and get it to happen tonight before I go in the AM

well I will find out , I dropped it off today, I suspect I had a low voltage condition while I was plowing

Hope its something simple cause thats a damn nice truck.

no codes found, but they want to keep it overnight and measure the battery in the morning after it sits. I'm guessing because I was plowing and had all my lights on I might have run the battery voltage down causing it to go haywire throwing codes for everything.

Id call it a perfect storm, headlights on 200 watts of amber lighting, heated seats, radio and the defroster going along with the plow.

Rpms were kinda low because I was babying it. I don't know

this sucks, but you have a nice truck, and a great warranty...i will have no second thoughts about buying a 2500hd next time around

I'd bet you're right....if the voltage goes low enuff that one of the computers quits talking to the others, I think I've read that they all get pissed as they expect info from the one that goes down.
