99' Chevy Silverado 1500 Light Issues

Hey guys,

My Chevy is having some problems with the lights turing on automatically. Sometimes the daytime running lights come on, and sometimes they don't. Sometimes the night lights come on, and sometimes they don't. And when they don't come on there is a constant dinging that is driving me nuts! I have a feeling I have a bad ambient light sensor (because the manual light switch still will turn the regular night lights on and off) but im not sure. Any ideas?

Sounds like ambient light sensor.

Ya I think so, we will see how I do tomorrow after I replace the sensor... Fingers crossed!

Changed the sensor and the plug and no luck, still a constant dinging while the truck is moving faster than 5k , and no DRL's.... dont know what could be wrong now, maybe the relay or some kind of wire issue along the way?

Cant stand the 'ding' !!!!!!!!!!
