Full throttle

My 96' 5.7L Vortec truck has developed hesitant range of acceleration, either gradually from Mid to Full throttle response or more so @ Full throttle when called upon by hittin' the pedal to the metal. Timing response @ full throttle with passing gear kickin' in, hesitates or surges simultaneously until it "catches" up sorta speak.K&N filter intake system was installed several months ago with control module adjusted to the air flow before this problem started. I've installed new plugs & added fuel injector cleaner @ 20gal fillup. Autotran shift changes feel OK when driving on city streets or with normal cruising acceleration. No sign of Check engine light "On" from ECM, if maybe something like a Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) or other, needs attention.

Otherwise, idle is normal, timing is TDC. Dist cap/rotor has NOT been changed with the new plugs but very soon to complete tune-up & will replace the Fuel filter also.

1 more bottle of Fuel Injector cleaner @ next fillup?
