2003 Chevy Tahoe With Turn Signal Issues

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone – I’m having a strange turn signal issue with my 2003 Z71 Tahoe. About 10% of the time, when using the left turn signal, I immediately receive a "Turn Signal On' in the driver information window and also receive a loud dinging noise. This would be the behavior I would expect after leaving your turn signal on for an extended period of time.

I checked and reseated the bulb connections. I also disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to reset the computer. No luck. I'm thinking of replacing the signal switch or some kind of signal module? Any ideas? Thanks!!

Wow that's a new one. I wonder though if it is a problem with the on-board computer. This may be something you want to take to a mechanic to diagnose instead of just throwing parts at it, can get pretty expensive if you do that.

Something you might try is reseating the connections to the module that control the lights. It is right above the tailpipe. There are 6 connectors on there I think.

When one of these connections comes a little loose mine will start doing some really weird things.

Thanks 06Voy.... looked them over and reseated, but unfortunately, problem continued.

Good news though, problem SOLVED!!!! I found my turn signal/hazard flasher module had the old part number with all the issues, so I thought I'd throw in a new one (part #10383321 - Ebay $60). Sure enough, this solved the problem!

Thanks everyone for your help...
