Power Outlets

Hello. I'm new to GMC trucks and am wondering how many power outlets my 2011 crew has. I have found the one on the dash and the usb on the dash. Should I have something in the rear? I have the SLE model (crew)

if you have the SLT, you'd have 3. If you have the SLE, you may only have 1 since you have the usb connector. If you had the center console, that would get you 1 more.

wow, GM cheaped out on the power outlets for the GMC's

I have 4 plus the USB.

2 on the center stack, USB and 1 inside the console, and one on the rear.. plus I added 2 in the bed of the truck and 2 more coming off the upfitters port..

removed the door off the left one on the center stack and plugged in a Griffin 2 USB Cig to USB lighter converter deal so I can charge my phone and ipad off USB instead of those stupid oversized adapters..

You know what I wish they had?? An AC outlet!

I have two 12v in the dash, one IN the center console and one on the center console facing to the backseat. THAT's where an AC outlet would be nice too. It has the hookups for a video game system to the rear entertainment, drop down screen, etc.. but no AC plug.

yeah 100% agree, a 110v inverter option would have been nice, both Dodge and Ford offer it..

it's not hard to do yourself, but it should have been OEM IMO.

Yes that's a project I've considered. Get the actual plug part from the dealer, then wire in my own inverter with the center console, and wire it to the OEM-plug I've installed in the back of the console.

I think the GMC Terrain has that option, so could get the plug from GM...

I just have that armrest/ storage in the front seat

bottom compartment should have one, plus the dash and the USB, so 2+usb..

you have this seat correct:

under the seat, bottom compartment, there is a power port.
