I knew something was strange untill I really looked at the date then I figured it out. I went over 18 years of Naval service today. I have had fun but am looking forward to retiring. Funny thing is I remember the first day of boot camp as if it happened yesterday.

Congratulations John!  Does the 18 year mark mean anything in terms of retirement?

I come from a long line of military members.  I never served but spent 4 years with the US Secret Service and consider that my "duty to country"!!  I have alot of admiration for those that did the real gig no matter how long or in which branch....again, congratulations

Congratulations John and thanks.

I did two years in the Air Force before I was given a medical discharge. Most people don't have a clue about the sacrifices people give when in the armed forces.
