Chrome Mirror Caps

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows if the chrome mirror caps on the 2009 Texas edition Sierra's and Yukon's are replaceable? Ours have some rock dings and erosion, and I'm hoping I don't have to replace the entire assembly. Thanks for the help...

If you are looking for a set I will more than likely have a set off the replacement mirrors I put on my wifes Tahoe a few wks ago as soon as I get around to ordering some silver birch ones (Rich I havent forgotten), let me know.

I've also got a set off of my 2010 Sierra...one tab is broke off of one of the caps, but will still hold the cap on.

Well I always tried to be careful when removing them,also using a small flathead screwdriver,so I wouldn't break any of the retaining tabs,but I always managed to break at least one So....from now on I just grab them and give them a good yank! Haven't broken any tabs that way

I think this thread has a pic file of the instructions on how to replace the mirror caps in one of the replies. (It is a photobucket file and the filters on the computers here at work block photobucket pics)

I use a plastic trim remover tool. Seems to work pretty well. When I did my truck i didnt break any tabs.
