Rc 1.25 Lift

im thinking about installing this body lift. how difficult is it to install? im pretty mechanically inclined, have rebuilt ATV engines, and torn apart plenty of carburetors. im just a little nervous about tearing into my brand new truck... as far as removing the bumpers.

is there anything i should be wary of? are the directions pretty straight forward?

can i still use my reese hitch that came on the truck with the body lift?

will the 1.25" BL interfere with my manual 4X4 on the floor?

sorry for all the questions, just trying to prepare myself for the job without any suprises

The instructions are pretty straight forward. Pre-spray all the bolts the night before with a penetrating oil, read the instructions prior to starting and having a little help from a friend will go a long way. And don't skip around. Plan on at least 8 hours to do it as well. Your hitch is untouched, and they provide all the necessary stuff to extend anything that needs extending. Some kits don't include the bumper brackets but those can be added if it doesn't.

I think it includes the bumper brackets. I did my zone 1.5" (with no knowledge of ever doing a BL). Had a couple of friends and some beer and tore into it. I read the instructions what seemed like a million times, and then re-read each step a few times as I was doing it. It took my friends and I 10 hours, but that is with beer brakes and never done anything but change the oil on my truck. Also, with my zone, I had to alter the old brackets for the bumpers. Yours come with t, so that should save you a couple of hours off of my time right there. Glad I did it, saved some money, and got some experience doing something I've never done before.

i just really want a lifted truck. i was thinking about a 3" BL, but that exposes a lot of the frame, and reese hitch. also heard that it puts free play in the steering, as well as needing longer fuel filler hose, then you definately will need something for the shift linkage for the 4x4.

SO 1.25" will tide me over. some day im going to do the zone 4.5" lift. but being a home owner is expensive...

If the weather is good this fri/sat I plan on installing my RC 1.25. I already have the RC leveling kit in. If all goes well I'll be rolling on new 275/60/20 Coopper Zeon LTZ's mounted on MB Gunner 6 rims when I'm done. Also plan on putting my Raptor Series stainless 4 inch oval step bars on too.

does anyone have any pics of this kit installed? i would also like to put it on my truck. its about half the price of the 1.5" zone body lift with the other rear bumper bracket to get in Canada.

did you have to do any welding?

ive heard from another user that he didnt, and accoring to the instructions, its the same answer

this might settle the deal for me, and that its $75 cheaper shipped to me vs zone 1.5
