Steering Box/pitman Arm Question

I bought a new ptman arm and steering box to replace the bad ones I have now. My question is, does the steering box turn continously, or does it have internal stops. The reason I'm asking is have a 4 spline box and arm and there are 4 postions I can put the arm on the box. Does it matter what the starting position is?

The box is going to have to be centered. It's not perpetual.
