Deer-stoppin'-guard?

Other than the mighty Ranchhand, are there any other grill guards that will actually help out if you hit a deer at about 30mph? I'm looking for something not quite as "stout"...

 

I like the front of my new 2003 GMC, want to keep the bumper, and want a grill guard that won't just mash into my hood and grill when anything hits it.

Buddy of mine who has a 2001 ZR2 hit a deer going between 35-40 with his truck and all he has is a Manik brush guard.only thing it did was bend his light tabs.

 

A good frame mounted one like Manik or Westin will absorb most of the impact but if he was going much faster than that it would have been over.

 

You really can't beat a Ranch Hand type full replacement for those scenarios.
