2004 Silverado Power Window Controls

Hello,

 

I have a 2004 Silverado Crew Cab with power windows.

The left rear window goes up and down when operated from the switch at the left rear door.

From the driver's console, the window will only go up!?

 

I replaced the drivers switch console and this did not fixed the problem.

My train of thought:

- its not the regulator or motor, as the window works fine from the left rear

- its not a fuse, as all of the other windows operate normally from the driver's console

- its not the driver's switch, as that was just replaced with a new one

- could the problem be with the BCM, or the left rear switch?

 

The only electric work I've done to the truck was to add a hypertech max energy tune and replace the ABS module.

I would check the wiring where it passes through the door back into the cab. Possible you have a broken wire.

Than you for the advise.

In fact, one of the wire harnesses was routed incorrectly above the kick panel near the parking break.

The top of the kick panel chaffed 3 wires and severed one completely.

After soldering, and properly routing the wires, everything works...
