I am having the CEL for a while now. P0455

I have replaced the gas cap with a stant one. I have checked the valve in the manifold and it is operational when 12 vdc is applied to it.

The question is:

Will the vapor Canister Solenoid (Ac delco 2142149) from a 2004 sierra work on a 2003 sierra. I am not planning on relocating it just replacing it.

If the electrical connector / plug matches, it should work.

Suggest you remove existing unit, blow out and bench test to confirm it's malfunctioning.
