Thats a freak load of miles! shaners, I guess you and I better start driving more!  It just cost so much to drive!  I wonder how much money that guy has spent on gas in one year! LOL

Even if he bought that a year ago, the first day '02's were available, that's almost 275 miles a day!  Does he ever turn that thing of??

And as for you Shane, I'll take the prerequisite Newbie cheap shot in his absence...."8K Shaners?  Boy you're really mile-ing that up!  Did you get a longer driveway or did the car wash move down the street?"

Well lets see. If you guess he's getting 13 MPG. That comes to 7692.3077 gallons at $1.45 a gallon. Comes to a total of

$11,153.85

GOODNESS that's some driving...for the price in gas it cost him he could have got the diesel, well if they put it in the Burbans

Yup, it would be nice if they would up Duramax production and figure a way to put it into the 'Burb.  At 20 mpg, it would have only cost $7250 a year to run that 'Burb...a savings of over $3900 in fuel.  The Dmax would've gave enough fuel savings in one year to offset the additional cost when new over the 8100.

I looked today and I have alsmost 7900 miles on her.  The truck ws built 6/12/01 and I took delivery about 2 weeks later.  I think the reason the miles are going on at a faster rate is because we called back about 100 people at work, and I have to drive a few extra hundred feet a day to get a place to park!!!

At this rate I'll have about 30-35K on her when she turns 5 years old!!!

My Dad and I bought our trucks the same day. Last Sept 7, 2001. I just rolled over 26,000 miles. Lets see, my Dad just changed his oil for the first time. I think he is at 3200 miles. Pretty sad. Buys a $35,000 to sit in the garage.  :(

Geezzz, and I thought mine had low mileage cause I drive it maybe a mile a day (seriously) round trip for my commute.

It's the weekends that I rack up mileage.

25K a year, but all in 1.5 mile trips.  Doesn't matter what kind of motor it is, but that is just torture on them.  Start her up, drive it a mile, let it idle, drive it back, shut it off, repeat 8 million times a day it seems.

Seen here is the area that 60% of the miles go on, from one side to the other its 3.5 miles.  Typical commute, the middle green outline to the outline just west of the interstate, 1.4 miles each way.  And CMT, take notice.  That is my hometown (though our address isn't there) on the right, population 580. :(

I guess I dont feel too bad, I bought my truck the first week of march 2001 and have a little over 11,600 miles on it.  Half of thoose miles have been trips, half of which include towing 5k in the mountains and off roading.  Though I have started to use it on a more daily basis latley, cause my old buick is not doing to well latley.
