hello,Looking for help with my tranny problem.I have a 2004 Kodiak with allison.Transmission started acting up yesterday in the rain.Started popping out of gear, loss of reverse, selector light flashing.Called my buddy who told me to unplug the box next to selecter to throw it into limp mode wher i would have reverse and third to get me home.Since then I removed and inspected the tcm for corison damage andpossible water exposure.tcm in good shape.Reinstalled the tcm.Now its acting as if it has no power to tcm.Only reverse and third.no spedometer.no gear indicater.I have inspected the wiring cant find any problem. Is it possible for the tcm to loose its programming and have to be re programmed. If not does anybody have any suggestions what to try.need this truck back on the road desperately, its my source of income.

the allison is almost bullet proof unless you tune the motor or neglect it...it has to be something stupidely simple...worst case scenerio take it to the dealer and have them diag it

You need to scan it for DTC's (trouble codes). That is the ONLY way to diagnose a modern Allison or Hydramatic. It sounds like you lost power or ground to the transmission, not an internal problem. Check the fuses and grounds and get it scanned. Good luck!
