Im looking into installing the air bags in my truck, I have a 2010 Sierra 1500 and the couple times i have used it to haul stuff, i loaded the truck down pretty good. I am looking into the air helper springs, i was wondering if anyone on here has them installed on there truck, and which one that your using.

I installed a set of Firestone sport rite bags on my truck a couple of weeks ago and from start to finish I was impressed with the quality construction and ease of installation. I opted for the Tee fitting that allows for only one fitting to be mounted in the bumper, ( I had no need for make independent air bag adjustments). I run approx 7 pound of pressure in them (unloaded) and the trucks rides better than when I installed my Bilsteins. I did carry one large load since, probably about 1200-1500 pounds, pumped up the bags to 50 psi and the truck sat level and drove like a champ. I have a TT with 750 pound tongue weight, I think it will be a big improvement there.

I just finished installing a set of Firestone ride rites in my 08 silverado today. It took me 2.5 hrs from start too finish.Pretty easy and straight forward.Had no load today but drove arounf with 5psi in them and the rear sat about an 1" higher and the ride was better than stock.I look forward to adding my quad and travel trailer to test it out

Firestone for me. When I tow, I usually don't use the stabilizer bars, unless I know I'm dealing with a side wind. I run 50 to 60 psi, depending on if I have the ATV with or not.

Thanks for the replies, my main thought with this all is the way they bolt on. The firestone goes under the frame onto the axle, where as the airlift bolts next to the frame over the leafs. I do plan on adding a level kit and taller rear blocks in the future, with the firestone can that be done or not? I know with the airlift it would't matter seeing as there above the springs.

I have the Firestone Ride Rite installed in my 2010 Sierra CC. I got them to help wtih towing my TT with a tongue weigth of 700 plus pounds. They are great. Truck handles the camper great with only 12 pounds of air in them. They take away the bounce and making towing a pleasure. cant recommend them enough. Very easy install. I also opted for the T connection that way only one valve inflates both bags equally......Hope this helps..

I have a 4" lift in my truck. I got a welder to put a block in the same height as the lift block in the Firestone kit. Works fine.
