Noice From Engine Compartment

I posted earlier regarding this. Got a few answers that confirmed what i suspected. Thanks.....

 

But the problem is still here I have replaced the idler wheel on the serpentin drive system. The bearing was gone so some noice is gone. The noice i'm having is just like a slipping belt. Normally about 1500-2000 rpm. It comes from the drivers side. It's not AC compressor....

BTW car is a -02 Tahoe 5,3

 

 

Any thoughts ?

I just went through something very close to this. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=132999

 

There was a lot of squealing from what I thought was under the hood at start up as well when I was driving. A belt swapped took the start up squeal away but still had the noice when I was driving with no real torque on the drive line. Give it some gas and the squeal is gone put it neutral the same thing.

 

Turned out the other squeal was from a bad u-joint. Got those swapped out and its like I am driving a new truck..

 

One thing I did to help determine where it was coming from was to remove the serpentine belt for a few seconds and let it run at the range its squealing and see if its changes.

Did you replace the belt with a high quality replacement? Don't use cheap belts

My wife was rewing the engine today and i was on top of engine.. This noice appears also when the car is not rolling.To me it looks like it coming from the AC system close to the fire wall. This kills me....

The noice is gone if I don't run the fan....
