How To Change The Lightbulb In The Side Door Of A 2500hd Truck (2005 I

Today my father dislodged the lightbulb in the passenger side door of his 2500HD truck while changing the side mirror. Is there anyway he can get to the lightbulb and replace it without having to go to a dealership?

and a picture is probably going to be helpful for those of us that don't exactly know what you are referring too.. but I presume you mean the red security light in the lower corner of the panel, and you should be able to pop the plastic cover off and reach in and fish the bulb out.

 

if you look at the lens, it will have a small notch in it, using a small flat blade screw driver you should be able to GENTLY push in and pop the lens out.
