Msark Welcome to the forum. :P

I am not sure on which type is the best and everyone will have their opinion. Last one I picked up was a Goodyear gatorback and so far so good but its still early. The one before was an AC Delco that lasted a couple of low mileage years before it got noisy.

As far as sizing sometimes you can pick the size off the part number on your old belt. The one that fits my truck is a part number ending in 930 (something makes me think that is 93 cms but I stand to be corrected). When I went to the parts store to pick up a belt I gave them everything on the truck (2006, 4.8, auto, air) and they gave me a 922 and it was a tad too short. Took the old belt off and I could see the remnants of 930 in the part number. Turns out my truck came stock with the bigger alternator that took the slightly larger belt.

Gates or Goodyear are the ones to go with.

More than likely you have the 105 amp. . Look on the alternator, amperage should be stamped or engraved on it somewhere. As Roger said, you can take the number from the old belt and cross it over.

Or you can buy both belts and return the one that doesn't fit.

Gates. Look up the ACDelco belt for your truck (www.acdelco.com), the Gates belt will have pretty much the same number.
