So, here in D.C. there are two Carquest stores. I was helping a buddy of mine put brakes on his VW Golf. Long story short, the box the new front pads came in got tossed last week (trash has since been picked up) and he lost the receipt. Well, we're getting ready to install the new front pads and we realize that the pads aren't even close to the right size. We took the pads back loose and explained the situation. "No problem, I remember selling you those last week. Let me get you the right ones, sorry about that." It turned out that the box was mislabeled. Either way, I really appreciated their willingness to do this. I can tell you right now that wouldn't have worked at one of these big box chains.
