I know this is a GM Truck Site, but Workhorse used to owned by GM. Anyway, I just bought a 2003 Newmar Kountry Star Class A on a 208" wheel base 22,000 GVW, 26,000 CGVW workhorse chassis. Power provided by an 8.1L GM and 5 speed Allison connected to a 5.38 rearend  22.5 Wheels with 235/80R 22.5G tires. For a motorhome it hauls a**. No I have not draged it, done 0 to 60 times or 1/4 mile times. It's a motorhome not a race car/truck. The new chassis is wider, allowing the engine to set lower in the fame and allowing an almost flat floor in the front of the motorhome. Also it has that big fuek tank everbody wants in the Truck (75 gallons). Anyway I just thought I would just thow something new in to the HD list.

I sold my travel trailer but I kept my 2001 2500hd, you can alwas use a truck for something.

Your chassis for your motorhome was built about 8 miles from my house. Workhorse built a new plant in Union City, IN about 3 years or so ago. They also do testing there with the chassis and motohomes, I think they are all gassers, no Duramax's. I see them driving up and down the road, big Vortec stickers on the side.

That was where my chassis came from. I looked at the chassis sticker on it last night and it listed Union City.

Workhorse announced a Diesel pusher (rear engine) for the 2003 model year. But thay are all powered by Cummins ISC and Cummins ISL engines. I have not seen anything for the Duramax in the front engine models. All the 2003 models they have in their brochure is the 8.1L and the Allison 1000.
