2002 Sierra Denali Headlights Always On

Hi guys,

 

My truck recently decided the lights need to stay on all the time. I don't want them to burn out, so I did some research online and found that the problem is most likely the ambient light sensor. I ordered one through my local dealer and it should be in tomorrow. Instead of just twiddling my thumbs waiting to try it, figured I'd ask and see if anyone else had done this replacement before. I'm not certain that is the problem, just seems the most likely culprit to me. Anyone with any experience with this?

 

I found a decent guide online (http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1654) for replacing it and will give that a go.

The ambient light sensor should be your problem

Yep, just fixed it using that guide above. Was quoted $500 for the repair, took me all of 35 minutes and an $18 part.
