Kegorators.....

Ok, so I have my second sixtle of Summer Ale in my kegerator and both of the kegs seemed to be really carbonated (like soda pop). The temp is low 30 - 35 degrees (cant really tell with my thermometer), I have about 6' of 3/16 beer line, and the Pressure is set at about 10 psi.

 

I know there are beer forums but in all honesty these dudes are talking about formulas and shit which is way over my head. Can anyone simplify what is going on with my beer?

Bleed the keg. Set pressure to 11psi. They usually come over pressurized from the brewery. What type of grundie do u have? (handle that taps keg) also dont trust the,gauge on the pressure setter. Make sure u use a gauge that taps on the end of the grundie. You could get a false reading of upwards of 4psi off the gauge set.... Hope this helps..

when was the last time you disassembled and cleaned the pour tap? youd be suprised at the gunk that accumulates in the valve assembly and causes a foamy pour.
