'04 Silvy A/c Question

I've noticed my A/C behaving a little weird lately and I wanted to ask about it. It has something to do with turning on the A/C right after the vehicle is started and before you start moving. My truck had been sitting in a parking lot yesterday and was blazing hot. I started the engine and instantly pushed the A/C button. The air coming out is slightly cool and but after a minute or two you hear a typical a/c sound, it's hard to describe, kinda like the releasing of some pressure, then it blows out hot again. It's like it cycles like this until you start moving. It's also going on and off of recirculate mode. Once I start driving I never have any problem. Nice and cold air, it stays cold, and I can stop and idle all day if I want and it works perfect. It's only after initial startup it's like it can't get going until I start moving. Anybody know whats going on with that?

Mine has always done much better when on the move. I think it's because we have belt driven fans. Man, when I'm moving though that thing is ice cold. I don't know about that recirc. in and out thing...that can't be good.
