Blowout Sales, Employee Pricing, Etc.

I'm eyeing a new Sierra/Silvy and according to GM.ca, I can get 11,000$ off a 32,000$ truck due to an employee pricing promotion. I'm looking for a WT Ext Cab 2X4 with the 4.8L.

 

My question is, how often does GM do that ? Every year, every xmas, every beginning of summer ("summer sale!") ?

 

I'm kind of a cheap bastard when it comes to paying interests, so if you guys tell me it's something quite usual, I'll just pile up some more savings for a bigger cashdown next year.

It seems to have been every june/july for the last 5 or 6 years and then basically those prices will stay like that on 2011 vehicles till they are gone with 2012 model year to be out soon

Dont sound like a very good deal to me. Why would a 2x4 work truck with a 4.8 be 32thousand? my z71 4x4 crewcab sle 5.3 was 29 thousand with no discount. Just sayin.

I only paid 29 for my truck with a sticker of 38+ but thats in the US. For low 20's you can get a 4wd WT

I bought my truck two weeks ago. Southern California. Sticker was 31,600. I was out the door at 28,300.

 

2011 Silverado LT, Extended Cab, 5.3 L 6 Speed. All Star package. had about 6000 in rebates

I'm also in Canada and paid $26k (sticker $36k) for a 4x2 LS with the "Cheyenne" chrome package last August. It really does suck that everything is so expensive up here.
