My 1999 blazer power operated front passenger seat caught on fire with out any reason one day while I am driving under 25 mph . GM inspected the vehicle and says there is no manufacturer defect and hence they don't fix it. The investigator didn't even look under the seat frame to find out any electrical malfunctioning. I like to know what alternatives I have to proceed against GM. The vehicle has never been smoked inside . It is 1999 model. Beware this may happen to you , if you own one. Any suggestions how to proceed with GM will greatly appriciated. This is a life and death safety problem with Blazers.

Thanks

In my opinion, you should find some kind of an investigator that is not involved with GM or the official investigation team.

After you get the results, you should contact an attorney and discuss any legal options you may have due to the findings.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune but welcome aboard.
