Trailer Brake Issue

I've used this vehicle and trailer together aprox 2 years ago.

The trailer has sit for that duration with out use.

 

All the lights are working around the trailer.

Parking, Brakes, Flashers, Markers.

 

But the elec brakes are not working. The light on the controller in the vehicle is not on, before it would always be on when the trailer was plugged in.

 

Where should I start looking?

Fuses to consider?

Voltages to check?

Controller Troubleshooting

Checked power feed, its good.

Checked ground, its good.

Cleaned and checked all connections at the rear of the vehicle. There was some corrosion, but cleaned it up and ohm tested from vehicle to trailer, its good.

 

Could the controller itself just have died? Seems unlikely to me...but... /confused

 

I'll have to do some testing / poking at the wires right out of the controller, all I know is the originating sources are good..

Should the blue [wire from the trailer] have voltage on it, wondering how to test it.

 

Is there a better forum for this sorta thing?

You might post which controller you are talking about. So far, it just sounds like it's fried.
