Lift Kit For 2500hd On A 1500

I was wanting to put 8 lug hubs and axles on my gmc 1500. I also want a 8" lift. Question is can I put a fabtech 8" lift or any 8" lift made for a gmc 2500hd on a gmc 1500. What mods would I have to do. The kits look pretty much the same with exception of a few added things on the 8".

ok, simpler question, will a lift kit made for a 2006 Chevy/GMC 2500hd fit on a 2006 Chevy/GMC 1500?

simply, no.

 

cv shafts are different, ball joint sizes/tapers may also be different, brake mounting holes will be different, crossmember mounts are probably different, diff mounts different, etc etc etc

they did make a 1500 hd sounds like that the parts you would need also the lift is different for the 1500hd and 2500hd may check into that?
