let me start off by giving the details and mods of my chevrolet silverado: its a 2007 black silverado 1500 single cab, regular bed, witha 2.5" lift up front, with oem 20" rims on 33" terra grapplers, and the front end of a 2007-2010 silverado 2500, which i plan to change to a 2011 front end.

As for mods the truck is a 5.3, pacesetter headers, 3" y-pipe that goes in and out a 1 in 1 out magnaflow, msd wires, k&n cai, and a tune by file,(a tuner here from the valley)

edit:i forgot to mention cats were taken off only front o2 sensors are on my truck, my tuner deleted the rear o2 sensors

the truck has about 112,000 miles on it and i have already updated everything

the problem is that my truck is having rough acceleration, it literally wants to turn off on me when i step on the gas (note: this happens on occasions but does happen frequently) im gonna leave out everything that ive done to it to try to fix it unless someone really wants to know, but i brought it down to 3 things that i think can be the problem

1. i have a short somewhere

2. my o2(s) is/are messed up

3. my ecu is messed up

why would i think the ecu is messed up?

well i wast really all that knowledgeable about how the electrical system worked, the truth i stilled dont know much, anyway i had a system long atory short, it drained my oem battery amd i started carrying cables and would recharge it with the batteries ground, i know stupid right, finally i went and got myself a yellow top optima battery..

now im currently looking for part numbers on 02 sensors, ecm, tcm. i would really appreciate if someone posted them or pmed them to me, also if some has had similar problems and/or can diagnose it down to a single problem that would be even better.

thanks in advance and sorry for the long intro

Welcome to the club!

Not sure what year your truck is, but if it has a distributor you might want to look at the pick-up coil. An older Chevy I used to have would do something similar...the pick-up coil would short to ground and shut the engine off anytime I tried to accelerate.

I'd love to see photos of your truck...

As for the problems, have you cleaned the MAF sensor. Are you running a stock MAF sensor or an aftermarket. I've seen/read enough about issues with aftermarket MAF sensors that I'd never swap one out for an aftermarket. Also with your mileage (which isn't to much), fuel filter is to be serviced at 100,000 max, have you looked at changing that yet?

well i did get a full diagnostic by a local shop, everything is up and running well according to them, (xessive motorsport in edinburg tx) also i have a stock maf sensor and cleaned it a few times especially now that i have the problem came up, and to my knowledge these trucks do not need to be serviced anymore since the fuel pump and fuel filter are an individual part and should now "last indefinetly". i am going to get a second opinion soon at another shop, thinking about taking it to the dealer just to make sure.

and as for the pics, u ask then u shall recieve
