Radio "LOC" problem

Hey, has anyone been having a problem with there radio just going into "LOC"?  Mine has done it several times. All my connections are good. This gets very annoying. Is there a known problem out there? Our 98 Suburban does it also.  ???

I'll be interested in any responses, as my '02 Tahoe does this as well.  I took it to the dealer but they "couldn't replicate it".  No mention of a known problem.

I've actually run into a couple of radios that were just bad. Get the dealer to take it out and do a system check on the radio and see if it passes all their tests. Not sure if all dealerships can do it, but I've heard of dealerships testing the radios in-house.

Sometimes the circuit boards or other guts of the radio are just bad.

Once you take the truck in for the same problem and then talk to the service manager, they'll replace the radio. It's easier to change out the radio and send the broken one back to GM then hear a customer complain and get pissed.

Same thing happened to me several times on 2 different trucks.  Both were 2002 Sierras.  It is as if the battery was disconnected.  I can't explain it.
