08 Silverado Speaker Install With Out Drilling Holes In Your Door

This seemed like a pretty good way to mount aftermarket speakers so I thought I would share

 

first remove foam and cone be careful not to tear foam, set it aside to use later

 

second cut out center of the speaker all but the mount that holds the connector, I used a cutoff wheel on a grinder but a dremel would work great

 

third trim outter ring of the mount so that the new speaker will sit flush to the mount

 

next screw new speaker to the mount, use quick connects to connect speaker to the factory plug, it takes a little filing to get the old wire off but a small file works great

 

last connect factory plug and your new speaker will slip right in factory mount, I used double sided tape to put the foam back around speaker. It looks really factory and sounds alot better. hope this helps somebody

Very clean ... Did you sound deaden the back wall and seal your door for maximum driver performance while you had the door pannel off ??

Mine was done this way as well, same for the rear speakers. No need to buy special adaptors, the truck already has them, just have to remove stock speakers from the mounts.
