Heat On Drivers Side ?

Recommended Posts

2005 GMC Sierra - dual automatic climate control. My battery went dead. After jump starting it, the drivers side blows hot air. The passenger side is cold. The compressor is working. I tried the recalibration ( remove fuse, wait 10 sec, the reinstall fuse ). I think that worked because it came back to 74 on both sides. It started off blowing cool air on drivers side, but then after 30sec-1min, it went back to blowing hot air on driver side again.

Any ideas what to try next

I had this happen on my 2008 a while back. I tried various fixes with no luck. Got in the truck one day and all was good. No problems since. Total days messed up was less than 4.

Thanks --

I did a couple more things last night / this AM. I pulled the negative battery cable off and left it for 5 minutes. I also turned off the climate control system completely. It seems like the defrost is still trying to run? Definitely some warm air coming out even with the climate control system off. Maybe its just air from moving down the road? But it definitely feels heated.

Any suggestion are appreciated.
