[THE SILVERADO]

Guys, I need a hand. The A/C went out in my dads 2005 Silverado. No fan speeds

work. What does this sound like? All help is greatly appreciated!

Take it to the dealer and have them check the blower motor resistor. There is an extension on the warranty for it. That may be the issue, if the problem is the blower not working. It could also be other items. Not to be stupid, but did you check the fuse for the blower?

 

Is there any odor in the truck like burning plastic? That would be a pretty good indicator that it is the blower resistor.

acs08/gm4ever, thanks for your replies! No, no smell plastic. I checked the fuses. They all looked pretty good. I was running out of light though. I need to check again.
