Air Aspirator In Headliner

Recommended Posts

I would like to change the air aspirator in the headliner. It started buzzing a while ago, I removed the ring that holds it in and now it's free floating up inside the headliner. The thing is a little fan about an inch in diameter that tells the onboard climate control what the cab temperature is. So now that it's up in the roof liner I can't control the heat or AC very well.

Anyway, I've read up on it a bit and seems pretty straight forward to replace, you just have to remove the left sun shade and the two vertical plastic trim pieces, one beside the windshield the other between the doors and the headliner ought to drop down enough to get at it.

Problem is, I don't know how to get those trim pieces off. There are no screws, and my experience with this sort of thing is to break it to figure out how it works. So any help or words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Kevin.

those trim pieces just have clips on the back side they should just pop loose but occasionally the piece on the trim that holds the clip will break
