[96 silverado]

I own a 96' silverado, 2wd long bed, with 350 vortec, at, and a 3:73 diff.  The question is has anyone heard about or had the problem with the trans shift from 2nd to 3rd with light throttle.  It sounds like a bang in the differential or the axle.  Not sure.  any info on this is much appericatied.  Thanks Dave

It could be a univeral joint, but I would think you would feel it when going from "P" to "D" or "R".

 

Unfortunatly you can't always tell when a Universal joint is bad by just grabbing the driveshaft anymore.
