Spray On Gravel Guard On Rocker

A local body shop said they would spray my rockers with gravel guard for 200 bucks. Just wondering how well it will hold up. He said if it chipped in a few years we could do another coat. Anyone ever used or had it done?

I was thinking of doing this on my truck, just on the lower rockers that are parallel to the ground. It goes on thick and looks pretty durable.

I haven't had it done yet but am also looking into it. A body shop near me quoted a similar price. But I also found that Dominion Sure Seal coatings has a transparent Gravel Guard textured coating in a spray can. About 10 bucks each on Amazon.com. I'm still doing my homework on the topic so I don't know what way I want to go yet. I'm worried that a transparent coating might get brittle and yellow after a few years....

I just did it to my truck last week. I bought the paintable rocker gaurd from the local parts store. Prep'd the bottom of the rocker, taped it off and let it dry for a day. Once it dried I painted it the body colour of my truck and it looks great. Will have to see how it holds up, and it only cost me under $50. That includes the rocker gaurd, paint, sand paper and tape. Will try to get pics up soon
