'08 Silverado 2500 Lt Won't Start

I have a 2008 Silverado 2500 LT purchased brand new from the Chevy dealer. Ran great no problems until March 29, 2011. We were hit at the driver side side view mirror. Had to replace the plastic piece of the mirror $130 part only. but 2 days later since then our truck won't start. It does it only in the mornings. We were actually driving and all the gauges went down to zero but were able to drive it the few miles to our destination. Once there we turned off the engine and then it would not start. Had it towed to the dealer, confirmed it did not start when it was dropped off. But in the morning it started up fine.

 

Did this several times. When they put it on the computer it had over 16 error codes. they "clear" the codes and the truck works fine until the next time. Since March it has been at 2 dealers and then we moved it to a private mechanic and they all have no issues. it starts up fine. So we've had the truck back now 1 week since April and it won't start again.

 

You unlock the truck and the alarm goes off, headlights & interior lights flashing for at least 60 seconds. When you turn the key all the warning lights show up but the gauges are at zero and the truck won't turn over. The 2 batteries was replaced Dec 2010 at Sears.

also, the remotes won't work so you have to manually lock and unlock the doors.

 

anybody out there have a solution?

Maybe call a priest? lol It sounds like your Body Control Module is losing power / communication. Given the age at least, isn't this still under warranty?
