Cannot Figure This Out - Cd Player Not Working

truck - 2002 base silverado 6.0 ltr with a basic am fm stereo

before i get flac.. ive wired up my own stereos in 12 of my own cars, including an audi with a 3000 $ system blah blah blah 3rd year electrical apprentice etc

went to walmart 2 days ago bought a sony xplod cd player, tried to install that with no luck, could get it to turn on but with no illumination so i took it back and got a pioneer from canadian tire.. now i cant even get that to hook up.

i wired 2 wires right from the battery to the ground and STILL no luck, anyone know wtf is going on or if theres any secrets to this truck?? this has me stumped bad lol

  Ha!! So GM Customer service, ive already been talking with someone on your email team and there is nothing they can do. So pretty consistent with everyone else’s experience- you can do NOTHING.. worthless emails. Sure glad i have 4 GM cars on our family cuz now its clear you dont care.. Sad and pathetic.
