Tools For The Jack

Any idea where my tools to raise my jack and lower my tire might be located? It's an 08 silverado ext. cab. We didn't even think to see if it was all there when we bought it. At first I didn't think the jack was there, but it was hidden under the back seat. I just can't find, or they are not there, the poles to lower/raise the tire and jack.

 

If they aren't there. Where are the best places to get them from?

They should be in the back seat floor drivers side probably towards the cab (bed). The are usually bolted to the floor (you can loosen by hand)

Under the carpet or up under the back of the rear seat like the jack is on the passenger side?

On the floor in a black vinyl bag.

twards the rear of the cab on top of the tunnel in a black vynil bag.

Just put two and two together once I looked. Definitely not there. Guess I should have thought about it when I bought the truck. I always wondered what that latch thing on the floor was. Guess I now know.

Mine is under the back seat passenger side at the back cab wall also your owners manual tells you where its at. I take it you didnt buy your truck new? It happens alot with used vehicles but it is suppose to be inspected before sale and thats one item that is on the list at least it is for Maryland.

Yep and I never thought to check to see if they were in there. Just unfortunately assumed they were.
